ABOUT ME
Feet my broke I how
In the end, things always get better, even though it was difficult to say one week ago when I was in the hospital after the surgery. Now the feet doesn’t hurt that much, I can focus on homework and studies for longer time, and I can walk with crouches around 10 to 20 mins until I have to stop because I am tired, still many things are though but at least I have some sense of control around then things that surround me and that is enough for the moment, as I said things will get better.
After the surgery, I stayed one day in bed at the hospital with a friend who was taking care of me. We talked about many things, and time passed quickly, even though I didn’t feel so well throughout the day. Sometimes, I had to pause the conversation due to the discomfort or pain, but having someone there made it easier to get through. Despite the ups and downs, the day was much more pleasant than the day before, when I underwent surgery.
The surgery was not pleasant, I guess none of them are, and I won’t give many details of how it was because is not necessary since anyone who has ever undergone surgery will have experienced the same feeling of nervousness, anguish, and fear as I did, and those who hasn’t, I hope you never have to experience it. Is like the feeling of breaking a bone, is an unique experience, and that doesn’t mean that is a good one.
In my case I still remember the sound of my fifth metatarsus breaking, and the awkward pain I felt, not very intense but scarier because I knew that something wrong happened to my feet. If I only had not felt with the right foot! Things would be different, but that is a pipe dream, the “what if’s” are always close to our minds when something bad happen to us, they are there to get the false feeling of control over a situation that we don’t expect.
What if I had decided not to go play basketball with my friends that day? Who knows what would have happened! What I am certain about is that day I had a very good day, and I had lots of fun playing basketball, not only that day but many others in my life, so if each time I went to play basketball with my friends I had to ask all those “what if’s”, I'm sure I wouldn't have had such a good time. That is why I don’t regret the decisions I took when this history begins when I decided to go play basketball with my friends.
